It's a work in progress right now, but I'll be adding this to my lens on Sensible Politics. Rachel does indeed do her homework on everything she talks about, and corrects herself without hesitation if she ever gets anything wrong - which is rare. I can count on Rachel to give me the backgound on what is really going on in politics. I have pretty much zoned my MSNBC viewing down to "what would Rachel say?" I'm so glad she's around...

I'm a Rachel Maddow fan too. She's so smart of course, but it's not only that: she's nice too people, she treats them with respect. She says she doesn't watch T.V. herself, and that's quite believable because she's so different from what has become the norm on American T.V. news programs. I'm not sure how to describe that "norm", but Rachel Maddow is much more normal and descent than the rest of the gaggle of talking heads who people the airwaves.

By the way, thanks for your nice comment on my lens, "The Free Market Myth is the Underlying Cause of Our Current Economic Crisis."

It's about damn time brains and straight talk (no pun intended!) are on radio and TV. Somebody has to counter Hannity and Limbaugh, and Rachel is the one to do it.

I love both her radio and TV shows, and I listen and watch live and then get the podcasts as well so I never miss a point. I can go back and watch or listen again as many times as I need to. We've needed a true geek to get into this, and we have a great one. Rachel, you go girl!

We geeks rule the world! The sooner popular people learn that, the better. When I think of that, I think that we could have lost Rachel to some secret CIA analysis group in the government or a quiet professorship at Harvard or another Ivy League school. I'm so glad she went public on radio and now TV!

I confess, I'm not a civics geek. I'm a science, math and history geek, but a geek none-the-less. I love it when another geek can fill me in on their specialty topics.

Keith Olbermann recently gave Maddow a "best person" award after she hosted for him. Because she drove up his ratings higher than ever before.

Very enjoyable! A new discovery for me. A new source of reliable information.
